One that ALWAYS does it for me is EKTINowhere, N Young...surprised by all the other choices for him, but I always felt this was his best effort, by far, as it comprises most all the range he exhibits down the line. Since 1970, it was always available to provide a tune or two for a "hits tape" for the car, etc.

Additional favs, listed below (as noted by MJ, these may not be yours, and due as much to the experience at the time they came out, etc., etc., they ended up sticking with me):
